Equine Influenza vaccination module on the FEI HorseApp

The Equine Influenza (EI) vaccination module on the FEI HorseApp, which will be available to all users as of 3 February 2025.

Following the approval of the FEI Veterinary Regulations 2025 at the FEI General Assembly in Abu Dhabi on 13 November 2024, the new module will align with the modification of the regulations. It will allow the registration of equine influenza vaccination details on the FEI HorseApp for all FEI Horses.

Horses competing in Australia or New Zealand

There is no requirement for FEI horses competing in Australia or New Zealand to be vaccinated for EI to attend FEI events. However, in the event that a horse is being transported overseas and being vaccinated for EI prior to export/travel, the EI vaccination details must be completed by the veterinarian administering the EI vaccination in both the horse's FEI Passport/EA National Passport as well as on the FEI horse app from February 3rd 2025. The veterinarian does not have to be an FEI veterinarian, they can register on the app as a licensed registered veterinarian in Australia and complete the vaccination details https://inside.fei.org/hub/it-services/mobile-apps/%20fei_horseapp#fei-horseapp-for-veterinarians. This must be completed on the day the horse is given the EI vaccination. No other vaccination details apart from EI vaccinations need to be entered on the FEI Horse App.
