Australia’s Best Dressage Teams Duel In The Willinga Park Covered Arena

Thursday was an exciting day of head-to-head battles as Australia’s best Dressage combinations duelled in the Willinga Park Covered Arena.

In the Grand Prix CDI 4* competition, Rozzie Ryan and Jarrah R had razor close scores with Sue Hearn and Remmington, but in the end, Rozzie and Jarrah R came out on top with a 68.652% over the 68.609% earned by Sue and Remmington.  “It was a great day and Jarrah R really felt electric in the indoor arena,” says Rozzie. “Having back-to-back CDI competitions allowed us to really establish ourselves at this 4* level and build on the work we did last week.”

Through the first and second week of competitions, all Grand Prix combinations faced a prestigious set of international judges, including three 5* judges, known around the world.

“This is why we wanted to bring a 4* competition to Australia,” says Terry Snow of Willinga Park. “These highly-regarded judges are formidable, each not scared to voice their opinions. Seeing all of the performances and scores throughout the week, I know we are having a fair but tough competition here at Dressage by the Sea.”

The Intermediate, one part of the small tour, saw another repeat win for Jayden Brown and Davinci L with a 74.735% score from the panel of three 5* judges and two 4* judges. Brett Parbery and Sky Diamond were second with 69.441%, followed by Sheridyn Ashwoods and Ashwoods Chocolate Fondue at 67.118% rounding out the competition in the Willinga Park Indoor Arena.

This morning’s competition is off to a flying start with Rosie Cooke and KH Arion taking the top spot in the CDI-J Individual competition and Robbie McKinnon and HV Del Piero with a score of 83.4% in the Young Horse 4 YO – Round 1, proving this combination is one to watch in the future.

The most intriguing combination to watch today is Jayden Brown and Davinci L, still yet to be unseated as champion at this competition. Their Freestyle competition will begin today at 2:47 pm. The Grand Prix Special CDI 4* starts today at 11:30 in the Willinga Park Covered Arena and don’t forget you can watch the competition live, online athttp://willingapark.com.au/video/ and to follow live scoring, please go to https://results.equestrian-hub.com/170.
