Australian PhD Researcher Seeking Opinions About Horse Welfare
Your opinions are invited around what you think works well in your equine activities.
An initial information-seeking survey, run by the University of Melbourne, is looking into current welfare practices at events and in the home stable.
It asks about anthropomorphism, sentience, animal agency and social license to operate.
The survey, which is currently circulating, focuses on what is being ‘done well’ relating to horse welfare practices (practices are ‘the way we do things’).
Find out more info or take the survey HERE.
Closing date 31st August 2021
The project results will be readily available through the University of Melbourne Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences webpage and journal articles.
The EA NSM will seek a presentation of findings for EA Members.
Thank you for your support.
