Boyd Exell Sets Record at CHIO Aachen 2019 on Day one of Driving

With an unprecedented result Boyd Exell secured Horsch's prize, the first dressage test for four-in-hand drivers at Aachen today.

Boyd Exell has already won the four-in-hand competition at the CHIO Aachen eight times. It was clearly today that Boyd and his team are fit and ready after last year competing with a broken leg. This test is traditionally the prelude to the driving tests, but does not yet count for the overall standings.

The judges gave reigning World Champion Boyd Exell 28.70 points for his performance - the best ever recorded! To complete Exell's success, it was also a pupil of his, with 39.39 points who took second place, Misdee Wrigley-Miller (USA), team world champion in Tryon 2018.
