Chad Donovan appointed Chef d'Equipe for Youth Olympic Games (YOG)

Chad Donovan Western Australian Showjumper Chad Donovan has been appointed by the Australian Olympic Committee in the role of Chef d'Equipe to guide and assist Jake Hunter at the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.

Donovan has been involved in showjumping for the past 30 years, is an experienced NCAS Level One Coach and has represented Australia numerous times.

As a Junior Jumper Donovan represented WA in jumping competition against a visiting Israeli team and also represented and captained Australia at the National Young Riders Championships in his junior years.

In 2008 he represented Australia as a senior rider in New Zealand, riding in the Tri-Nations series at the Hastings Horse of the Year Show.

“All of these team experiences gave me great insight into what’s involved in establishing good team organisation, unity and competitive spirit,” said Donovan.

Equestrian Australia wishes Chad and Jake all the best in their final preparations for the Youth Olympic Games.

The Youth Olympic Games will be held from the 16th – 28th August.
