Clubs receive funding boost from EA grants program

Equestrian Australia CEO Grant Baldock today announced at the EA National Conference a $30,000 funding pool available to equestrian clubs as part of the new EA Club Development program.

The EA Club Development program will allow clubs to apply for funding to assist in the areas of facilities upgrades, purchasing of new equipment, membership recruitment programs and volunteer programs.

Mr Baldock said EA has been working for a long time to make more funding and opportunities available at the grassroots of the sport and this is just one of the initiatives that will be rolled out.

“We know our Clubs need as much support as they can, both financial and administratively, to be able to provide the level of service required for their members,” said Mr Baldock.

“The EA Club Development program is a small start to helping put money back into the sport at the coalface of our sport.  We know many of our Clubs look for funding to be able to upgrade their equipment and facilities, purchase new equipment as well as to support their members and volunteers.

“There are more Club based programs we will be rolling out in the coming months. I am pleased to see a strong representation from Clubs here today at the National Conference thanks to the $10,000 travel subsidy we were able to provide to assist EA and Pony Clubs from across Australia.

“I encourage all Clubs to get onto the EA website for the full details on how to apply for your  share of the $30,000 in grants,” he said.
