EA Dressage Committee Appointments

Following the recent National Disciple Committee Elections for Dressage, which took place as per the EA National Discipline Appointment and Procedures Policy, Equestrian Australia (EA) is pleased to welcome back Gillian Botten (WA) for a second consecutive term of three years, and new member Belinda Snooks (TAS), for a three-year term to the EA Dressage Committee (EADC).

We also welcome Alexis Hellyer, elected to the role of Athletes’ Representative on the EADC. Alexis takes over from Maree Tomkinson.

Our sincere thanks are extended to Maree for being the go-to person for our athletes, as well as for her invaluable contribution to the committee representing the athlete perspective with her vast experience at all levels.

We extend our congratulations to all our newly appointed members and look forward to drawing on their experience and their input on all committee matters.

All terms commence 1 January 2022 through until 31 December 2024.

Plus a BIG thank you to Prue!

The EADC farewells Prue Spurrett. Over a six-year term, Prue has made an enormous contribution as a member and Chair of the EADC.

Prue’s insights as an experienced and respected judge (nationally & internationally), judge mentor and through the many other positions held (ENSW Board, Dressage NSW, State Selector, organising committees for the Australian Dressage Championships, Sydney CDI and NSW Championships), demonstrated Prue to be an outstanding team player.

Prue’s understanding of the sport and friendly manner enabled the development of good lines of communication with the FEI, EA Board, High Performance, EADOC and the State Dressage Authorities.

Through collaboration and inclusiveness, Prue's leadership of the EADC has resulted in an inclusive and representative committee that has been able to work positively to support Dressage athletes and officials at all levels throughout Australia.

Thank you Prue for your outstanding contribution - you will be missed!
