Enchanted Magic at Luhmühlen
Australia will have strong representation at the Luhmühlen CCI4* that begins tonight in Germany.
The event has attracted one of the strongest line-ups in its history with the best from all over the globe entered to compete including reigning European Champion Ingrid Klimke and current German National Champion Bettina Hoy. The CIC3* class will serve as the German National Championship.
Selectors from major Equestrian jurisdictions across the globe will be closely watching the 50 combinations that have been passed fit to start in the CCI4* as it will be the last major competition in the Northern Hemisphere for Eventing riders to qualify for the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games.

“I’m very excited to be here. The main arena is amazing and hopefully will be very atmospheric for Gizmo (Hunter Valley II),” she said.
The Luhmühlen cross-country course this year has been designed by Mike Etherington-Smith who has given the course a distinct flavour with new fences reflecting the enchanted magic that the region is famous for.
“The cross-country is asking plenty of questions and I’m looking forward to riding it,” said Birch.
Fresh from competing at last weekend’s Melbourne International Three-Day Event, Shane Rose will start his Rio Olympics mount CP Qualified for the first time since the Pau CCI4* last October.
“I’m looking forward to it. The venue really suits Darcy and I’m looking forward to seeing how we go,” said Rose.
