Farewell and thank you to Chris Webb
Equestrian Australia extends its gratitude to Chris Webb for his dedication and commitment during his ten-year tenure as the High Performance Director. Under Chris’s leadership, the High Performance Program has achieved success over multiple cycles, guiding the team from the Rio 2016 Olympics through to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
During his decade of service, the program has delivered an impressive four Olympic medals: a team Bronze in Rio, a team Silver and an individual Bronze in Tokyo, and an individual Silver at Paris. These accomplishments highlight Chris’s vision, strategic leadership, and tireless dedication to the athletes and the sport.
Drawing from his extensive experience in Rugby, Chris introduced a strong focus on team dynamics, culture building, and accountability within the Equestrian Australia High Performance Program. These principles have been integral to the team's success and will continue to guide the program as it moves forward.
Chris demonstrated strong leadership during challenging times, particularly while navigating the voluntary administration process. His unwavering commitment to staying performance-focused and prioritising the core mission has left a lasting impact on the organisation.
