Hayley Beresford places 2nd at the Barcelona Spring Tour CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle
The elite squad dressage pairing of Hayley Beresford and Jaybee Alabaster have finished second in the Barcelona CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle over the weekend.
Beresford and the 13 year old Hanoverian gelding scored 72.929%. Hayley was second by a narrow margin behind French rider Jessica Michel, “I’m pretty happy with Basti last night. The new choreography ran really well,” said Hayley.
Earlier in the event Hayley also had success in the Grand Prix with a score of 68.8% putting her in 6th position.
“After a tough start to the year and a big fright in Amsterdam hopefully this is the beginning of a whole new chapter for us. I rode 'very' conservatively with the pure goal of developing our confidence in one another back again.
“Basti remained soft, happy and trusting,” commented Hayley.
