Hongcheon borrowed horse event a success for the Aussies
During May, Australia sent three riders, Millie Fisher, Jessie Rice-Ward & Madeline Sinderberry, with Chef d’Equipe Stephen Dingwall over to Hongcheon, Korea to compete in an International Borrowed Pony Event, held at the picturesque facilities of Sonofelice Equestrian Club, about an hour from Seoul. 24 horses were kindly loaned to the international riders travelling from China, Ireland, Hong Kong, Japan, USA, New Zealand, South Korea and Malaysia for the event.
The riders competed in both Team and Individual Events. Overall, the Australian Team finished in 5th place with Madeline Sinderberry having a clear round, Jessie Rice-Ward with one rail, and Millie Fisher piloting a very green and inexperienced pony to a clear round in the last team event.
In the individual event, Madeline was awarded a first place with another clear round, with Jessie in 13th Place, and Millie in 16th place.
Overall, all the Riders & Family Members had a fantastic time and wish to thank the Korean Federation for the invite, the hosts of the event, EA for allowing these riders the opportunity to go and to Stephen Dingwall for being a fantastic Chef d’Equipe.
