Position Opening - Eventing High Performance Technical Lead

Equestrian Australia (EA) has an opening for the position of Eventing High Performance Technical Lead.

This position is responsible for the following;  

• Under the direction of High Performance Director and in collaboration with the Eventing Manager and Pathways Coordinator plan and implement technical elements of the HP Eventing program. Ensure that the national program has an international performance focus and incorporates leading edge practices
• Monitor national squad athlete development and performance and provide technical coaching direction to squad athletes and their personal coaches. This includes competition analysis.
• With the Eventing High Performance Director, Eventing Pathways Coordinator and performance support staff Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT made up of AW&E Manager, MPC Sports Psychologist, HP Physio Lead, HP Eventing Vet, but not limited to) undertake the individual performance planning of national squad athletes
• Advise the HP Eventing Program on athlete talent identification and development
• Remotely join regular high performance staff, coach, service team and athlete meetings
• Directly supervise and mentor Equestrian Australia’s Generation 32 Coach
• Advise on the technical aspects of the Eventing Athlete Development Framework
• Attend agreed major competitions domestic and international as outlined in the operational plan 
• With the Eventing HP leadership team, support in development and delivery of national squad on horse and off horse camps in Australia
