Ready Set Trot - Kids Interactive at EQUITANA

As well as getting kids active and learning basic horse skills and safety, Ready Set Trot also makes it easy for young people to dip a hoof into the horse world as the program removes the need for them to have a horse.

With the help of some of Australia’s leading equestrian riders, Ready Set Trot – ‘Kids Interactive’ will showcase some of the fun and exciting games offered by the Ready Set Trot school’s program. Young people aged between 5-12 years of age are invited to take part in this unique experience which will also offer an opportunity to meet some of Australia’s equestrian heroes.

The session is FREE to EQUITANA patrons!

Participants will be placed in small groups and complete a circuit of games following which there will be time to meet and greet leading equestrian riders as well as Gee Gee (pictured left).

Whether it is through their school or a riding school or club, Ready Set Trot offers young people multiple ways to get involved with horses. The Ready Set Trot schools program offers traditional playground games with a horsey twist that get young people active and excited about horses.

A 16 hour program run by Equestrian Clubs, Pony Clubs and riding schools gives young people a chance to further their horse skills, knowledge and ability through mounted games and activities.

Riding schools and centres as well as Equestrian Australia and Pony Club Australia accredited coaches and clubs are encouraged to attend the demonstration event to find out how Ready Set Trot can be good for business. Accredited Ready Set Trot delivery centres receive everything needed to run the program including fully prepared lesson plans, marketing resources and access to the Ready Set Trot website where you can create a profile for your centre, advertise your programs and much more.
