Senior Trans-Tasman Team Applications re-opened

Due to a withdrawal from the team, applications for Australian riders to compete and represent Australia in the Takapoto Classic Senior Trans-Tasman Test to be held at the Takapoto Classic, Maungatautari 18th – 23rd February 2025 have reopened to fill one place. 

Details for the event have changed, the first round will now be held at 1.45pm.

Australian Team members will be provided with premium stables and ground fees free of charge as well as free entry to the Takapoto Classic Gold Tour (EF value $1,500) Prize Money for the winner of the Gold Tour is $27,000 with placings to 6th. 

For riders coming to NZ, there is also the opportunity to stay on for the Horse of the Year Show in Hastings 4-9 March 2025, where the Horse of the Year Title has total prize money of $80,000 ($20,000 to the winner). The Horse of the Year Show will provide Australian team riders free stabling, ground charges and access to hospitality areas.
