Top 15 finish for Tops-Alexander
Edwina Tops-Alexander has finished her fourth FEI World Equestrian Games jumping campaign with a top 15 finish.
The Australian team captain and her horse Ego Van Orti were in action on Saturday in the group of 30 and the pair produced yet another clear jumping round in the first round, adding just one time penalty to their score. It was the pair's fourth consecutive clear jumping round in this competition.
In the second round Tops-Alexander had two rails, which saw her finish the event in 15th position overall.
The event was the first major championships for the 10 year old Ego.
Following her campaign the two-time Olympian took to Facebook to thank her fans for the support she had received.
“Four rounds without a fence down. In the very last class two down. It was a long week for horses and riders.
“In the final of four: Patrice Delaveau, Bezzie Madden, Rolf Göran Bengtsson and Jeroen Dubbeldam. They will find the world champion tomorrow.
“Thank you all friends and fans for supporting me.”
Sunday’s jumping finale will crown the world champion for jumping and also signify the end of the 2014 Games.
