Top Photographer Joins EA Media Team

Equestrian Australia (EA) has appointed internationally renowned equine photographer Cara Grimshaw to its media team for the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA.

EA are looking forward to working with Grimshaw as the official photographer for the duration of the event in September and will provide the Equestrian community, Members and the wider public with an enthralling snapshot of all the action across the disciplines of Eventing, Jumping, Vaulting, Dressage, Endurance, Driving, Reining and Para-Dressage.

Grimshaw is a commercial and editorial photographer exclusively focused on elite horse sports, athlete reportage, marketing media and brand & venue coverage. She is based in Vancouver Canada and has a part-time UK & Singapore base.

“They say to do what you love. While enlightening, ultimately the pressure to succeed takes on a more personal note.”

“At events, I find myself typically away from other photographers, predictively reacting to the stories. Images that tell the stories in a unique and original way,” said Grimshaw.

“My admiration and knowledge of horses is a result of growing up in their company. The science of their movement and behaviour has long fascinated me. The stories that come with the sport keeps me drawn in. A day does not pass without an appreciative thought of the horses that have been part of my life.”

Cara has worked on campaigns for some of the biggest brands and sporting organisations in the world including Federation Equestrian Internationale (FEI), H&M We love Horses, and Equine Canada. Some of her recent work includes Olympia 2017, Stuttgart Masters, Spruce Meadows Masters and the FEI Championships in Gothenburg to name a few.

A highly accomplished line-up of photographers from Australia and overseas applied for the coveted role.

Her portfolio of work can be viewed at www.caragrimshaw.com
