Young Aussie Riders take on Friendship Games

Matilda Alexander, Jasmine Dennison (Vic) and Jamie Priestley (NSW) recently took part in the German Friendshp Games posting promising results in the borrowed horse event.

Jamie and her partner Leo Buscher of Germany won the opening competition by over five seconds which resulted in the Australian national anthem being played and the Aussie flag being raised.

During day two of the event Matilda and her partner Tim Hartlaub finished fourth, while Jamie and Leo finished fifth.  

In the final competition, Jasmine and her partner Vanessa Maubach jumped clear to progress to the jump off and they went on to finish the class in second position. 

In the team's event Jamie finished in third position, Jasmine ninth and Matilda 10th overall. 

Individually Jamie was 9th, Jasmine 23rd & Matilda 38th out of a total of 54 riders and 27 teams.

It was a fantastic experience for all.
