Cameron takes out Wodonga World Cup Qualifier

Over 20 combinations contested for the 'Kevin Bourke' Memorial Wodonga World Cup Qualifier at the weekend, the 8th round of the 2014/15 Australian League of the FEI World Cup produced mixed results for competitors with multiple eliminations and many incurring multiple rails in the first round.

Fresh from the high of being crowned Australian Show Jumping Champion, David Cameron enjoyed winning his first World Cup qualifier for the 2014 season. Cameron and RR Dyranta only pulled one rail throughout the two rounds and produced a time fast enough to grant them the title.  Second placegetter by less than two seconds was Queenslander Billy Raymont and Anton. Third place went to Stephen Hill and Yalambi's Bellini Star, an exciting result for the combination as they have only recently joined the World Cup ranks.

There will be more World Cup action this weekend as Shepparton plays host to the World Cup. Then most combinations will have their sights set on the lucrative Equestrian Grand Final at EQUITANA starting on Thursday 20th November and concluding on Friday the 21st November.
