Competition format :

The highest cumulative points from both the Prix St-Georges test and the Intermediate 1 Freestyle test will be totalled to award final placings. In the event of tied cumulative points, the highest % score from the Freestyle will define the higher placing. Points per test will be allocated as per placings, i.e. 1 st place receives 16 points, 2nd – 15 points, 3rd – 14 points and through to 16th receiving 1 point.

The winning team will be awarded to the team with the highest cumulative points of three of the four team members. In the event of tied cumulative points, the highest average % score from each team will define the higher placing. The % average of each team is calculated by totalling the highest three team member’s scores and dividing by three to find the average team score.

Competition Surface :

The Equestrian Grand Final Dressage events will be conducted on irrigated special purpose turf. The surface has been carefully developed over a number of years; being described as “the best its ever been”, setting a high standard for the competition.

Music for Freestyle :

It is absolutely necessary that you provide a copy of your freestyle music to EA no later than 6^th November 2015. No CDs/USB will be accepted at the event as music will be programmed on the system prior to the event. Submission of your music file can be done:

What rules will the event run under?

• The competition is run in accordance with FEI Dressage Rules 25th edition, 2015, FEI General Regulations 23rd Edition (2009 updates effective 1 January 2015) FEI Veterinary Regulations 13th Edition (effective 1 January 2015) and EA National Dressage Rules (effective 1 Aug 2015)

• Medication Control of horses will take place in accordance with the FEI Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Regulations (2nd edition, effective 1 January 2015) / EA Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Regulations (1st edition, effective 5 April 2010 and updates)

• Athletes: Medication control for athletes may be undertaken according to the FEI AntiDoping Rules for Human Athletes based on the 2009 revised Code, 1 January 2011, updated 1 January 2014 in conjunction with the World Anti-Doping Code.

• Advertising on Athletes and Horses and Promotion: as per FEI General Regs Article 135

• Riders may only compete with one horse, however in the event that entries do not reach the maximum 16, riders with a second horse may be considered.

• Arena familiarisation: Will be available during allocated times. Arenas can only be ridden during the times designated by the OC. Any breaches may lead to elimination. Allocated times will be advised by the organising committee closer to the event.

• Bridle numbers: must be easily visible on horses at all times when out of the allocated stable

• Code of Conduct: please refer to the FEI code of conduct for Horse welfare and the EA codes for athlete/spectator conduct at all times during the event. Breeches of the code may result in elimination
