Equestrian Australia renews partnership with KER and Ridley for the future

Equestrian Australia (EA) today announced that long-time supporters Kentucky Equine Research (KER) and Ridley Corporation (Barastoc) have renewed their national sponsorship with EA for an additional two years.

The renewed partnership will look at a revised approach in how the organisations work together, with KER and Barastoc to lend their expertise and knowledge to boost EA’s education programs with coaches and officials.

EA CEO Grant Baldock said he was pleased to maintain the long standing partnership with KER and Barastoc who’s support is not only shared at a national level but at all levels of the sport.

“The new sponsorship deal with KER and Barastoc will see us working collaboratively with our coaches and officials education programs to further enhance the programs as well as through other EA initiatives including member education and our EA Awards Night.

“For more than 10 years KER and Barastoc have provided valuable support to EA and we are very pleased to renew the sponsorship for an additional two years so that we can continue to grow the partnership,” Mr Baldock said.

Director of Nutrition at KER, Dr Peter Huntington said, “We look forward to our ongoing partnership with EA and Barastoc. Being an international equine nutrition, research and consultation company, we believe that this partnership gives us the opportunity to continue to share our knowledge of equine nutrition and exercise physiology. Our goal is to apply the knowledge gained from our independent equine nutrition research to produce healthier, more athletic horses, to re-enforce the very positive difference that correct equine nutrition makes and the opportunity available to all horse owners to take advantage of KER’s no cost newsletters and dietary analysis service. ”

“As an Australian owned company, we stand proudly alongside EA and KER in our support of the Australian equine community,” stated Tim Hart, CEO and Managing Director of Ridley Corporation. “This partnership allows Ridley to provide products and services under our iconic Barastoc brand, which ultimately supports EA members with a focus on high performance animal nutrition. With such a strong focus on education and training for not only the current but future generations of horse men and women, we believe EA’s education programs for coaches and officials are crucial to the continued success  of the industry.”

The new partnership between EA, KER and Ridley Corporation (Barastoc) commenced on 1 January 2014 for the period of two years.
