Aussies dominating early at Luhmuhlen

Australia is dominating the leaderboards at Luhmulen after the first day of dressage, with Aussie riders currently holding down three top three positons.

Seven time Olympian Andrew Hoy is leading the CIC3* after a strong performance with one of his Rio hopeful horses, Cheeky Calimbo. The pair combined to produce a dressage score of 35.30 giving Hoy a six penalty lead with another day of dressage to come.  

In the CCI4*, Emma Dougall and Belcam Bear are ranked second and less than half a penalty off the lead after their dressage test received a score of 40.60. 

Bill Levett and Improvise, one of two horses the World Equestrian Games rider has entered in the 4* this weekend is currently occupying third position with 45.50 penalties.

Levett's second horse Alexander NJ and Hoy's Rutherglen will be in action in the CCI4* on Friday, as will Kevein McNab riding Step Forward in the CIC3*.
