Equestrian to make Mardi Gras debut

Hot to Trot

Acceptance, tolerance and understanding has always been a part of equestrian culture and now a small group of individuals has banded together to form an equestrian float for the 2014 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

The equestrian float has been named Hot to Trot and the committee is calling on members of the equestrian community to contribute to making the float a success.

The committee, headed up by Fiona Hughes and Shaun Dillon, is looking for contributions of the following:

  • People who want to join in the fun of the parade. The aim is to keep it simple but they want to include as many people as possible
  • Anyone who can help with ideas, music, choreography, artwork, decorations, etc
  • Help with equipment such as vehicles, sound systems, props etc
  • Help with fundraising, sponsorship or anything else.

The 2014 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras will be held on Saturday 1 March. Get behind this great initiative by following the group on Facebook, where you can post your suggestions, offers and ideas.  http://www.facebook.com/hottotrotequestrian
