Equestrian Australia support live video coaching as an acceptable activity and as such it is covered under EA Coach insurance. However, it is still a requirement that the relevant waivers are signed by riders and that the relevant risk management checks for safety are conducted by coaches in line with EA requirements and coaching protocols.

Coaches who are not present at the site with their riders should be mindful to ensure that they can demonstrate how they have complied with EA requirements if conducting live video coaching of riders, this includes completing a risk assessment and ensuring that first aid has been addressed in case of an accident.
