International Equestrian Sport Arrives in Wooroloo
The top event riders from across WA will converge on Wooroloo for the annual Bates Saddles Wooroloo International Three Day Event, widely regarded as the most prestigious event of its kind in the state.
More than 250 horses and riders will compete over three days (27-29 August) in the Perth Hills.
2021 marks 40 years of these events which are run by Perth Horse Trials Association on land owned by Wooroloo Prison Farm.
“Perth Horse Trials Association recognises and is sincerely grateful for the continued support of the Department of Corrective Services, Wooroloo Prison, Farm Manager, Officers and the Section 95 teams,” said Perth Horse Trials Association chair and Wooroloo resident, Kerrie Robbins.
“We are so grateful to the exceptional efforts of so many exceptional people who have pulled together to get our event over the line,” said Robbins.
“COVID restrictions have done their best to interrupt us, but we’ve worked exceptionally hard to put together a wonderful weekend of eventing,” she continued.
Bates Saddles are providing a number of great prizes, including a Bates Advanta saddle. All combinations who started at both Bates Saddles Wooroloo CCN in July and Bates Saddles Wooroloo International Three Day Event will be entered into a free prize draw to win the saddle.
Perth Horse Trials Association also has a silent auction running online via Facebook with over 30 lots up for grabs.
Bates Saddles Wooroloo International Three Day Event is signed from the Gt Eastern Highway, 8km from Chidlow.
Entry is free for spectators, and there will be refreshments and trade stands available.
