Australian Jumping Team Qualifies for Paris Olympics
Yesterday was a great success for the Australian Jumping Team at Longines Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands, where the team won the Paris 2024 FEI Olympic Qualification Event for Group G and have now claimed their ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. A first or second placing in the competition of four nations was needed to secure a teams quota position at the Games next year and the team exceeded requirements by taking out the win.
Australia finished R1 with 7 penalties and went into the second round in the lead. After adding 16 penalties in R2, the team finished on a total of 23 penalties over the two rounds, with their nearest competition, Japan finishing on 32, New Zealand 46 and China 59.
