Fantastic experience for Para-dressage riders at Hartpury
The Five Star Hartpury Festival of Dressage attracts competitors from around the world to contest 40 Dressage and Para-dressage classes across Six fabulous days each summer. This year, the event took place from 4 - 9 July and provided the perfect opportunity to see Olympic, European and World Championship riders in action.
It was fantastic that several Australian Para-dressage riders were able to self-fund a campaign to Hartpury. It was a valuable opportunity for them to gain international experience which we always encourage, and the points they earned by their participation in the Teams competition have helped Australia’s campaign towards Paralympic Games qualification.
We also thank Sally Francis for her valuable contribution as Chef d’Equipe at Hartpury, and are very grateful to the owners of the wonderful horses the athletes borrowed – without their generosity it would not have been possible for the athletes to have had this valuable experience.
