National Integrity Committee Update
The National Integrity Committee held its inaugural meeting in October 2023 and has been working tirelessly over the past six months establishing the Committee, updating policies and supporting the review of a number of integrity matters for Equestrian Sport.
The purpose of the National Integrity Committee is to play a proactive, strategic and advisory role with oversight responsibilities relating to key integrity issues for the sport and the organisation. This includes robust processes and policies for integrity in a fair and transparent manner, in addition to placing a big picture lens on emerging issues.
The current Committee members, including Will Flynn, Ann Bonnor, Emma Johnson, Kaye Spence and Lisa Baker have actively participated in the recent review of the National Integrity Framework (NIF) Policies and Equestrian Australia’s Code of Conduct, which were endorsed by the EA Board on 11 April 2024.
Updated NIF Policies are now available on the EA Website and detailed information and explainer videos can be found on the integrity pages of the site.
In 2024 the National Integrity Committee will play an integral part in advising on recommended changes to EA’s Social Media Policy the Equine Controlled Medication Rules and a number of sport rules in consultation with the Discipline Committees.
