Equestrian Australia Welcomes New Directors to the Board

On behalf of the Equestrian Australia Board we extend a warm welcome to new Appointed Director, Maggie Hundertmark and Athlete Director, David Shoobridge, after a rigorous assessment process conducted by the Nominations Committee.

Maggie has an extensive career in senior management roles with renowned financial institutions where she has honed her expertise in strategy development, business management, transformation, digital & technology and governance. Her significant experience in managing multi-national businesses and leading international change programs has equipped her with the strategic skill set to bring great value to the EA Board. Maggie’s passion for and involvement in equestrian sports, including achievements in national Dressage championship competitions in The Netherlands, aligns perfectly with the future vision of Equestrian Australia.

David Shoobridge joins us as the Athlete Director, a role which combines the general Board Director duties of an EA Director, together with athlete advocacy across all disciplines, as well as sitting on the High Performance Committee. David has extensive involvement in the sport as an FEI level Dressage competitor, coach and breeder. He brings a strong understanding of the equestrian landscape locally and internationally from grassroots to the elite level.

We are delighted to have their experience and expertise to help shape the future of equestrian sports in our country and to promote and develop the sport at all levels as we embark on this most significant phase in our history to shape our organisation for the future.
