FEI Classics Eventing series - The 2016 Australian International 3 Days Event Adelaide

The FEI Classics™ is a series uniting the top end of the international Eventing circuit, namely the six four-star Eventing competitions currently on the calendar (Pau FRA, Adelaide AUS, Kentucky USA, Badminton GBR, Luhmühlen GER, Burghley GBR).

What ? Held annually in November, the Australian International 3 Day Event (Aus3de) is Australia’s premier equestrian competition. It is the only CCI four star event held in Australia, the only one held in the Southern Hemisphere and one of only six held across the world. For the past nineteen years, Adelaide has been the chosen host city of this Hallmark Equestrian event. In 2011, the Australian International 3 Day Event became a part of the World Wide ‘Pro Tour’of Eventing – the FEI Classics Series. The AI3DE proudly takes its place alongside the other great international four star events. The Adelaide event however is unique in the world, being the only one staged in the heart of a vibrant  city centre, taking place in Adelaide’s picturesque East Parklands.

DRIVING ! An FEI Carriage Driving event will be held for the second time at the Aus3DE.

Equestrian Australia Dual Crown Series 

The Aus3DE hosted the finale of the new ‘Dual Crown’ of Eventing and Jumping series (with an FEI World Cup qualifier event) in 2016 with the support of the South Australian Tourism Commission.

The CIC3* and the CCI4* enabled riders to gain points for the EVENTING Dual Crown Series 2016 : 

* Overseas riders will be disregarded and have no points allocated as it is a National series. Any second horses ridden and finishing in a lower position will be disregarded and have no points allocated. Lower placed riders will move up accordingly.

The Adelaide World Cup class enabled riders to gain points for the JUMPING Dual Crown Series 2016 :

* Any second horses ridden and finishing in a lower position will be disregarded and have no points allocated. Lower placed riders will move up accordingly.
