Last week to submit your application for a share of EA's Club Development Grants

Clubs have less than a week to submit their application for a share in EA's $30,000 Club Development Grants. What would your club do with a share of $30,000 in funding assistance for equipment, facilities or membership recruitment?

In 2015 the Apple Isle Carriage Driving (AICD) Club in Tasmania purchased a set of International Standard Carriage Driving cones incorporating 54 cones and matching weighted yellow balls. The cones are specifically designed for carriage sports, as seen in the FEI circuit of competition driving; and have been imported from the Netherlands.

President Chris Hearle said, "as AICD is endeavouring to encourage not only pleasure driving, but also competitive carriage activities, it is hoped that by having quality equipment we will be able to maintain a high standard in all our endeavours. We are also hoping to provide club members with the incentive to become more actively engaged in competition."

The Club also intends to use the cones as part of club activity days and open days such as shows and competitive driving days, where they will endeavour to invite visiting clubs and interstate drivers to participate.

All affilated EA clubs are eligible to apply for Grants under one of two categories: Club equipment and facilities upgrades and club development and recruitment programs. Entry is via the online form.

Grant recipients will be selected based on their submission, the needs of the club and the impact the Grants will have on current and potential members as well as the local community. For more detail please refer to the judging criteria form template.

Submissions are now being accepted and must be submitted by 17 April 2016. Applications must be submitted via the online form.
