Mary Hanna takes 1st and 2nd place in the 2016 Equitana World Cup Freestyle
Five-time Olympian, Mary Hanna, rode her two Grand Prix horses, Sancette and Umbro, to take first and second place in the Equitana World Cup Freestyle. Lesley Anne Taylor on Amicelli Gold scored 70.550 per cent for third place. Equitana is sixth of eight World Cup events in the Pacific/Asia League.
It was Sancette's first competition in more than two years as his last outing was in the Normandy World Equestrian Games in 2014. Sancette scored 71.875 and Umbro scored 71.250 per cent. Mary rode Boogie Woogie in her last World Cup event before flying to Europe to prepare the Rio Olympics.
The league final will be held in New Zealand and will nominate a single representative for the World Cup Final in Omaha, Nebraska in March 2017.
