#MySydney2000 - Celebrating the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games 20 Years On
It’s time to raid the photo albums for those special memories from the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games as the Australian Equestrian Team joins the Australian Olympic Committee and Paralympics Australia to launch the #MySydney2000 social media campaign to capture the spirit of both events.
We want to hear from the athletes who competed, the support crew on the ground, officials, volunteers, spectators, aspiring riders - everyone was a part of the magic of Sydney 2000 in their own special way and we want to celebrate it all 20 years on from 15 September – 1 October for the Olympics, and the Paralympic Games from 18 – 29 October.
You can take part in #MySydney2000 with these three simple steps;
1. Find photos or videos which represent your personal Sydney 2000 memory.
2. Publish the photo or video on your personal social media account on the 20th anniversary of that memory, tagging the Australian Equestrian Team and using the hashtag #MySydney2000. If you can't remember the exact date of the memory share it anytime during the Sydney 2000 anniversary period - 15th September -1 October (Olympics) or 18th October - 29th October (Paralympics).
3. Follow the Australian Equestrian Team on Facebook and Instagram, and the hashtag #MySydney2000, to celebrate other people's memories throughout the Sydney 2000 anniversary.
