Familiarisation
If an Equestrian Australia (EA) coach has not maintained their accreditation for over two years, they are required to undergo a familiarisation process to ensure they are up to date with current coaching standards, policies, and procedures. This process is essential to maintain the quality and safety of coaching within the equestrian community.

Steps to Complete the Familiarisation Process:
Complete the EA Coach Familiarisation Form: This form is part of the reaccreditation process and ensures that returning coaches are acquainted with current standards and practices. 2024/25 Equestrian Australia Coach Familiarisation Form.
Attend a Compulsory Coach Update Clinic: All coaches are required to attend a Compulsory Coach Update Clinic once every two years (either ONLINE or in person). These clinics cover essential topics such as insurance coverage, risk management procedures, new developments in policies and procedures, and any relevant legislation changes.
Ensure Compliance with Additional Requirements: This includes maintaining a current First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check (as per state requirements), and completing any other mandatory courses or checks as specified by EA.
By following these steps, lapsed coaches can successfully reaccredit and continue contributing to the equestrian community in line with EA's standards and expectations.
