It is arguable that the risk of a claim arising from a part time coach is lower as they are spending less time engaged in activities that could give rise to a claim however there are a number of factors that can be taken into account when rating risk including the level of accreditation, the Disciplines that are taught, the skill and experience of the riders and the quality of the facilities. As it stands, EA Coach insurance is charged at a flat rate regardless of the scope of the coaches’ activities.
