Homes & Acreage 2020 Australia Day Dressage, Para & Jumping Boneo Classic

The Homes & Acreage 2020 Boneo Classic brings world-class equestrian sport to the Mornington Peninsula this Australia Day Long weekend.

This event presents International Dressage, Para-Dressage and World Cup Jumping within a festive holiday atmosphere complete with an extensive equestrian trade village, food fair and live music.

On Saturday and Sunday of the event, family fun abounds with a Rusty French race car display, fairground rides, face painting, CFA demonstrations, pony rides and more. It is an action-packed program! This multidiscipline equestrian showcase is a unique entertainment experience for the whole family! Entry for spectators is free.

2020 is an Olympic year which means that the Homes & Acreage 2020 Boneo Classic is an Olympic selection event. The fields for each discipline are comprised of both Olympians and our up and coming stars with their sights firmly set on Tokyo.

In the Grand Prix Dressage, the field is rich with talent! Five-time Olympian, Mary Hanna, fresh home from Europe, will go head to head with Olympian and current Australian Champion, Lone Jörgensen. Rozzie Ryan and Kiwi John Thompson, together with the rest of the field will certainly be ensuring that the bar is raised high!

The Para Equestrians will be out in force as Rio 2016 Paralympians, Katie Umback, Sharon Jarvis and Emma Booth as well as London 2012 gold medallist, Joann Formosa line up for the Equestrian Australia Para-Equestrian CPEDI Championships at the Classic. Grit and determination on a whole new level!

Whilst in the jumping the excitement is two-fold.  Watch as the likes of Tom McDermott, Chris Chugg, Billy Raymont and Jamie Kermond battle it out in the Brown’s Sawdust and Shavings World Cup jumping qualifier. The final round is against the clock with riders aiming to win sought after World Cup points towards the right to represent Australia in April at the Longines FEI World Cup Final in Las Vegas. Additionally, this World Cup battle will see the jumpers chasing qualification for the Tokyo Olympics too!

The competition across all disciplines will be as intense as it will be outstanding!

The beautiful grounds at Boneo Park Equestrian Centre complete with restaurant and café facilities and sweeping views of the competition arenas round out the invitation and we look forward to warmly welcoming all to what we know is going to be a wonderful showcase of some of the country’s most beautiful performance horses.

What a wonderful way for horse lovers and their families to celebrate the Australia Day Long weekend…watching Australia’s top equestrians vie for the chance to represent their country whilst enjoying a carnival like atmosphere.

Everything is in place for a truly inspirational and unique equestrian spectator experience!
