New naming rights sponsor for the Australian Dressage Championships

Boneo Park are delighted to announce that Martin Collins Australia have signed on as naming rights sponsors for the 2017 Australian Dressage Championships.

Martin Collins are long standing partners of Boneo Park and responsible for the world-class surfaces at the state of the art facility which will host the Australian Championships for the first time from 18-22 October 2017.

Boneo Park’s Managing Director Fiona Selby says the support from Martin Collins is vital to delivering a major championship event that can showcase the country’s best dressage combinations and encourage audiences to experience the skill and artistry of the sport.

“Martin Collins have been an integral part of the success of our venue. Their surfaces are renowned the world over and we are delighted to be partnering with them to deliver an Australian Championships to remember,” Selby said.

Martin Collins began developing innovative, synthetic surfaces for equestrian use over 30 years ago. Today they are the industry leader and innovator in synthetic surfaces, manufacturing the best synthetic surfaces that allow the horse to work to the best of its ability with the least risk of injury.

Managing Director Reid Sanders said Martin Collins Australia was delighted to partner with Boneo Park to deliver the 2017 Australian Dressage Championships.

“Dressage competitors know first hand the value of a good riding surface and we are very excited to see many events at this years Championships being held on our CLOPF arena surfaces,” he said.

The 2017 event will decide the Australian Dressage Champions from Novice to Grand Prix levels, including pony and para-equestrian divisions and a World Cup Qualifier for Australian-based riders to impress selectors ahead of the 2018 World Equestrian Games.

The future of dressage will also be showcased with a CDI U-25 program to run alongside the popular CDI-Y competition for young riders.

As well as delivering high-class sport, Boneo Park have also teamed up with Dressage Masterclass to deliver an exciting entertainment and education program.

Following the success of their Carl Hester Masterclass in 2016, Dressage Masterclass have secured the talent of Rio Olympic Silver Medalist and British Champion Spencer Wilton who will deliver the Saddleworld presents the Spencer Wilton Young Horse to Podium Masterclass on Saturday 21 October ahead of the Grand Prix Freestyle. Spencer will also be riding a Grand Prix test on the Friday, along with a Grand Prix Freestyle on Saturday, which will be a real treat for spectators with Spencer on form with 6 victories in 2017!

Friday 20 October will see the return of Australia’s own Simone Pearce, currently based at Helgstrand Dressage in Denmark and firmly established as an international young horse specialist, who will present her Young Horse Masterclass before taking part in the Aussies Abroad Challenge, an exciting new concept that will see a hand-picked cast of special guests such as the likes of John Thompson, riding a Prix St Georges test on catch rides for the audience. With riders miked up as they talk the audience through their test, this is guaranteed to be action packed and full of fun! Following straight after will be the always hotly-contested CDI-W Grand Prix.

The outdoor arena at Boneo Park will be converted into a 1,500-capacity undercover stadium. Visitors will enjoy an intimate European style spectator experience as the competition and entertainment unfolds, and with allocated seating, spectators can enjoy shopping in the always-popular trade village without missing out on the best seats in the house.
