VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH is a regular series on our website. It is a way of highlighting the tireless Equestrian Australia volunteers from across all disciplines, who help keep our sport running smoothly, all over Australia.
This month we say THANK YOU to Leon Hunn, of Equestrian Tasmania. Thanks Leon!
Leon has been involved with Eventing in Tasmania for approximately 32 years.
"He has been part of building so many amazing cross country courses in Tasmania, Eventing here would not be what it is today without Leon Hunn," said Andrea Watson, Executive Officer of Equestrian Tasmania.
Leon is qualified as an EA Level 3 Technical Delegate (TD) and an EA Level 3 Course Designer (CD). These days, most of his time is spent as a CD, while also contributing many hours actually hands-on building the courses.
The local Eventing community is incredibly grateful for Leon's ongoing dedication.
"Equestrian Tasmania, and in particular Eventing Tasmania, is very grateful for all the hours the Leon gives to our sport," shared Andrea.
Thank you Leon for being a member of this wonderful army of volunteers that contribute so much to our sport.
